Helping you feel better
Reduce stress and pressure
One in ten Australian adults have high or very high mental distress. 1
Feeling stressed is more than being alert. It is when you feel under pressure to do something and you think you will fail. When we feel under stress our heart rate, breathing rate and blood pressure all go up. 2
Stress affects us in many ways. It can change our emotions, the way we think or our behaviour. It can make us feel tense, unable to concentrate and accident prone. 3
Ways to cope
It helps to look at your stresses and how you are reacting to them. Try to understand what situations make you feel stressed. Reflect on the situations you can and can’t control.
Think about the future in order to prepare for events that you find a stress. Eat healthy, exercise and try to relax in your free time. Try to do things that make you happy every day. 3
We help you find lifestyle activities that build your resources for coping during times of stress and pressure.
