About our name

Lachesis is one of the Greek Moirai or Fates, the three daughters of Zeus and Themis. The Fates were known as 'the spinners of the thread of life' in the works of Homer.

They determined the span of human life: Clotho spun the thread, determining the time of birth; Lachesis measured the thread length, determining the length of life, and Atropos cut the thread, determining the time of death.

Drawing inspiration from this classical myth, Lachesis Biosciences aims to establish a world-class preventive healthcare business run by registered medical professionals.
